The Opportunity
We have an exciting new opportunity for a Plant Supervisor to join our team at our Hillhead readymix concrete plant. This role is fast-paced, dynamic and extremely varied role. As the Plant Supervisor you will supervise and operate a busy ready-mix concrete batch plant in Gateshead ensuring both the fixed and mobile plant is operated safely and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- To comply with all company Health, Safety & Environmental policies, procedures and standards.
- Production of RMX concrete as per QSRMC requirements and internal Quality Procedures.
- Carry out pre start checks to both fixed and mobile plant and report defects accordingly using internal systems.
- Ensuring the timely delivery of incoming raw materials. (Aggregates, admixtures, cements)
- Completing weekly and monthly stock checks.
- Induct all haulier drivers, visitors & customers coming onto site, projecting a professional image and ensuring that site rules are complied with at all times.
- A hands on approach working with contractors to control and organise plant maintenance as required.
- Carry out general housekeeping duties and site improvements.
- A flexible and positive attitude to working times in line with business requirements is essential.
- Ensure completion of all KPI's and update as an when required
- Must be computer literate in the use of Google Drive, G Mail, JD Edwards, Powerpoint, Google Excel and Word.
- Supervisor experience is a must.
- Experience in operating mobile plant, ideally a Front-end loading shovel
