Job Title: SEND TA

Pay Rate: £95 - £100 per day
A SEND Teaching Assistant is required for a long-term position, supporting students with special educational needs at a secondary school in Wirral. You will work closely with teachers and the SEND department to provide targeted support, ensuring that students receive the assistance they need to engage fully in their learning
Responsibilities:
- Provide 1:1 and small group support for students with special needs
- Assist in the implementation of EHCPs (Education, Health, and Care Plans)
- Support classroom activities and adapt resources as needed
- Help manage student behaviour and foster a positive learning environment
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and outside agencies to support student progress
Requirements:
Previous experience working with children with SEND in a school setting
Knowledge of SEND-related strategies and interventions, including EHCPs and sensory needs
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with staff, students, and external professionals
Experience using behaviour management techniques to support students with additional needs
