Job Title: Social Media Manager

Our client is looking for a talented Social Media Manager to join their dynamic team based in London. This role reports to the Director of Social Marketing for the UK and Ireland and will play a key part in developing and executing social content strategies that engage millions of the company's fans.
As part of the Social Marketing team, you will create content that unites communities through shared passions, helping fans discover new shows, movies, and talent, or deepening their love for titles they already adore. You will be responsible for crafting content that sparks conversations around company's titles, keeping them in the social spotlight with best-in-class creative.
This is a 3-month contract, offering up to £48 per hour (PAYE).
Key Responsibilities:
- Content Strategy & Publishing: Develop content strategy and manage the publishing schedule for the company's page on Facebook, Twitter, and feed content.
- Agency Management: Oversee the retained agency relationship, providing creative direction, feedback, and approval on social assets.
- Campaign Rollout: Lead series and film campaign rollouts by reviewing and scheduling all social content.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with Campaign Social Managers, Marketing teams, and other cross-functional partners to ensure alignment of creative strategies with audience and channel insights.
- Audience Engagement: Monitor daily audience signals around titles and talent, responding quickly to opportunities and trends to ignite fan excitement.
- Growth Champion: Drive audience growth by sharing best practices, celebrating wins, and learning from challenges to maximize engagement and brand loyalty.
- Multi-title & Brand Posts: Regularly create multi-title posts and brand posts about new product functionalities, games, and more.
- Reactive Content: Stay agile and pivot quickly when under-the-radar titles gain unexpected traction, leveraging social opportunities to elevate content.
- Big Creative Swings: Be bold and innovative, using platform features and audience behaviors to create impactful social moments.
- Issues Management: Collaborate with Communications and Publicity teams to provide a social perspective in crisis management.
Background & Skills:
- Proven experience in developing social creative at a brand or publisher, particularly in A/V content.
- Expertise in community management and audience development.
- A passion for entertainment and a deep understanding of internet culture and platform-specific trends.
- Strong understanding of local culture and consumer behavior in the UK and Ireland.
- Experience working closely with creatives to develop engaging content.
- Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- A collaborative mindset with confidence in cross-functional working, bringing ideas and a vision to the table.
- Curiosity and passion for social media innovation, always looking to learn from industry trends and competitors.
