Role Overview: Senior EC&I Engineer
Joining their growing engineering cohort in the UK, my client is looking for an experienced Senior EC&I Engineer to lead the drawings & design of electrical & instrumentation systems for repurposed & decommissioned facilities storing nuclear materials and radioactive waste. The ideal candidate will be self-managed, motivated and keen to join an organisation undergoing rapid growth.
Key Responsibilities:
· Please note that this role is circa 50% engineering, 50% management.
· Responsible for the leading of drawings and design for electrical & instrumentation systems utilised in repurposed & decommissioned facilities storing nuclear materials and radioactive waste.
· Responsible for the specifications of power distribution, wiring, control panel layouts & electrical schematics for these facilities.
· Responsible for the managerial aspects of facility projects - ensuring cost, scope and schedule are adhered to.
· Responsible for managing your own area of a project, resulting in a lot of individual work besides communication with operators for project feedback and clients when necessary.
Requirements:
· Needs strong knowledge of power distribution, hard-wired control systems, cable routing/management, alongside machinery safety.
· Needs experience building electrical services design.
· Eligible for BPSS Clearance - active is preferred, lapsed is OK.
· Ideally 10 years' experience as an electrical engineer OR EC&I engineer.
· Ideally HNC/HND in electrical engineering - would consider NVQ Level 3.
Package:
· £45,000-£55,000 p/a
· Hybrid working, 2-3 days per week in office
