As a Registered Manager in a Solo Placement EBD Home, you’ll play a key role in shaping the future of vulnerable children, offering them the stability, guidance, and nurturing environment they need to thrive.

Your Impact as a Registered Manager
As the leader of our Solo Placement Children’s Home, you’ll be responsible for ensuring the best possible outcomes for the child in your care. Working with a close-knit team of six, you will create a safe, nurturing environment where the child can heal, grow, and thrive. You'll have a direct hand in shaping their future, guiding their emotional, psychological, and physical development through personalised care plans.
Your Key Responsibilities:
- Inspire and Lead: Foster a culture of compassion, respect, and excellence within your team, ensuring that every child feels valued and supported.
- Ensure High Standards: Lead the home in full compliance with Ofsted and Children’s Homes Regulations, maintaining our strong track record of "Good" ratings.
- Personalised Care: Develop and oversee tailored care plans that address the unique needs of each child, helping them overcome trauma and achieve positive outcomes.
- Team Development: Recruit, train, and support your staff, creating a positive and collaborative team environment where everyone can grow and excel.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Maintain open communication with social workers, families, and other key professionals to ensure the best possible care for the child.
- Continuous Improvement: Regularly monitor and evaluate the quality of care, leading initiatives to enhance the home’s service and deliver outstanding outcomes for the child.
What We’re Looking For:
- Experienced Leader: You have prior experience as a Registered Manager or at least two years as a Deputy Manager in children’s residential care.
- Qualified Professional: You hold (or are working towards) a Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare or equivalent.
- Passionate Advocate: You are dedicated to improving children’s lives and have the leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills to inspire those around you.
- Proactive & Driven: You’re ready to make an immediate impact, ensuring the home runs smoothly from day one.
- Driving Licence: A full UK driving licence is required.
- DBS Registration: While not essential, being registered with the DBS update service is highly desirable.

- Stage 2: In-person interview with our Regional Managers, both of whom are experienced in managing “Outstanding” homes.
