Mechanical Engineering Manager
Bristol based (hybrid working)
£65,000 - £75,000 plus bonus and benefits
A Mechanical Engineering Manager is wanted on a permanent basis by a global Engineering client of ours who are at the forefront of their industry and going through a real period of growth. In this role, the successful candidate will take ownership and responsibility for all best practices within the organisation for Mechanical Engineering, whilst reporting into the Senior Engineering Manager.
This is a permanent opportunity that includes a base salary of between £65,000 - £75,000 dependent upon experience and qualifications plus bonuses and benefits.
Overview of the Lead Process Design Engineer role:
- Lead Mechanical Engineering activities across applicable projects through the mechanical engineers and teams as assigned, ensuring that such teams work cohesively, collaborate effectively, guiding the team toward successful project milestones through to completion.
- Advocate and lead the adoption of best practice mechanical engineering across applicable projects to improve the delivery of the engineering function to time, cost, quality and specification, whilst ensuring the appropriate level of effective technical governance is in place for safety, compliance quality and reliability.
- Lead the mechanical engineering budgets for people and financial resources and contribute to development of future forecasting with the Senior Engineering Manager.
Key skills required for the Mechanical Engineering Manager role:
- Possess more than 10 years’ experience of practical application of best-practice Mechanical Engineering.
- Significant experience working in a regulated, compliance-driven industry, with a strong understanding on product safety and compliance
- Excellent influencing and negotiation skills at multiple organisational levels whilst being able to display clear leadership behaviours and acting with a high level of integrity and accountability.
