Contechs are recruiting on behalf of their client who's mission is to drive technological advancements within the mobility sector. They are seeking an experienced Mirrors, Glazing, Wash Wipe Systems CAD Design Engineer on a Contract basis. The role will be based in West Midlands.
Job Description
As CAD Design Engineer your main responsibilities are:
- 3+ years of Automotive Design experience in Exterior systems within wiper systems, glazing, mirrors
- 5+ years' experience using CATIA V5
- Complex assembly experience, plastic injection moulded parts experience, glazing experience
- Knowledge of Exterior methodologies and general requirements (Industry best practice and legislation)
- Experience in working to requirements and design rules and iterating following CAE / virtual test analysis and feedback.
- Releasing experience including 2d drawings and GD&T.
- Experience liaising with suppliers and incorporating DFM, Moldflow, SPEOS and DFA feedback
Nice to Have Criteria:
- Mechanism experience
- Integration experience
- High end SUV experience
- BEV / EV experience
- Ideally has worked in several exterior commodities (e.g. Bumpers and lighting, Mirrors and Glazing, Hood and Doors, Spoilers and sills)
- Start-up experience.
