Job Description

Lead Finance Data Analyst - Private Equity-Backed Data Company

Location: Truro

Salary: £70,000-£85,000

Type: Full-Time, Permanent

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and manage a team of data analysts, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment.
Partner with business stakeholders across the organisation to translate data into actionable insights and strategic recommendations.
Develop and execute a data-driven intelligence strategy that aligns with the company’s overall business objectives.
Design, maintain, and enhance robust data models, dashboards, and reports to facilitate clear and impactful communication.
Source, analyse, and interpret data from various internal and external sources, delivering actionable intelligence.
Identify and implement key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure and track organisational performance effectively.
Champion data governance best practices, ensuring data accuracy, integrity, and security.
Stay updated with emerging trends and technologies in data intelligence, continuously enhancing our data capabilities.
Leverage forecasting models and predictive analytics to support strategic decision-making.
Support the development of a range of commercial intelligence services.

The Person

Proven experience in leading a data analytics team, ideally in a fast-paced, data-driven environment.
Expertise in data analysis, reporting, and visualisation tools (e.g., SQL, Python, Tableau, Power BI).
Strong business acumen and the ability to partner with stakeholders to drive strategic decisions.
A track record of designing and implementing data models, dashboards, and performance metrics.
Familiarity with data governance frameworks and best practices.
Experience in predictive analytics, forecasting models, and working with large datasets.
