QA / QC Clothing Technologist Wanted
Location: Uxbridge
Salary: To £40k + Bens
An exciting opportunity has come up with a growing and well-established clothing manufacturing business where they are looking to add a QA Technologist / QC to a team of 3 people (Business much bigger of course)
DUTIES:
Conducting fit sessions in-house and at retailers’ sites (when permittable), balancing speed and quality; making commercial decisions with confidence; owning the fitting process and inspiring trust and confidence from colleagues and suppliers
Analysing technical issues accurately and sending clear, concise and accurate comments to suppliers; processing samples in a timely and agile manner
Liaising with Design, Merchandising teams & suppliers to offer technical guidance on new product development with the aim of reducing costs & improving quality
Ensuring compliance with fibre composition labelling regulations, product safety & REACH legislation; assessing risk, managing relevant testing; recording & resolving non-compliance effectively and efficiently
Delivering continuous improvement and creative solutions
Grading.
PLM inface is used with suppliers.
MUST HAVES TO BE SHORTLISTED
Recent and well-versed experience as a fashion Clothing QA or QC in a fast-paced high street clothing supplier or high street clothing retailer
Multi-product experience essential, able to move between product areas with assurance
Solid experience of working directly with factories and production, including workflow, production control, machinery and equipment
A good understanding of garment construction, fabric technology & testing
First-class communication skills (written and verbal)
Solid IT skills : Outlook, Excel & Word
Keen to learn childrenswear and problem solve
Eligible to work long term in the UK
Pattern-cutting knowledge and practise would be great as would be knowledge of grading and grade rules
