Full time on-site role, offering a final salary of £40,000 per year.

Key Responsibilities of a Multi-Skilled Shift Engineer:
Achieve Production Targets: Ensure production targets are consistently met every shift.
Manage Procedures and Prioritise Safety: Oversee operating procedures, always prioritising safety.
Perform Routine Maintenance: Conduct regular PPM maintenance to keep equipment in optimal condition.
Troubleshoot Issues: Identify and resolve technical problems efficiently.
Drive Continuous Improvement: Implement strategies for ongoing process and performance enhancement.
Repair Equipment and Automated Machinery: Maintain and repair equipment and automated systems to ensure smooth operations.
Document and Report Issues: Accurately document and report any issues encountered during shifts.
Collaborate Effectively: Collaborate closely with other teams and departments to achieve production goals through effective communication and problem-solving.
Qualifications & Skills
Relevant engineering experience [Minimum NVQ Level 3], equivalent or transferrable skills.
Full and legal rights to work in the UK. (We cannot sponsor or support VISA applicants at this time)
Essential
- Minimum NVQ Level 3 in Engineering or related field
- Previous experience in Multi Skilled Electrical / Mechanical Engineer with a strong technical knowledge in relevant fields
- Familiarity with relevant safety procedures and regulations
- Able to understand the importance and principles of an advanced Quality Management System (QMS)
- Experience in maintaining and repairing Machinery and Production equipment.
- Experience with industrial networks and Automation control systems
- Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills with the ability to work under pressure.
- Experience of safely conducting planned maintenance across a site ensuring maintenance procedures are followed.
- Be an integral part of the engineering team, responding to breakdowns establishing root cause analysis to limit breakdown reoccurring, improving machine reliability and performance.
- Willing to learn and adapt to role requirements.
- Hands on ownership of issues
- Experience of working well in a team within a fast-paced environment
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability and willingness to work at height.
Desirable
- Preferably Multi Skilled Electrical / Mechanical with a strong technical knowledge in relevant fields such as Mechanical, Electrical, Automation Engineering (desirable), Industrial Engineering, Ex forces Electrical / Mechanical Engineer
- BTEC/HNC/HND/C&G or Degree in Engineering or related field
- Some team Leadership skills strongly desired.
- Previous knowledge and understanding of the importance and relevance of a Quality Management System (QMS)
- Experience of updating records of tasks/spare parts used from store and work completed, using a CMMS.
