The Recruitment Bunker are recruiting exclusively for an Electronics/Electrical Systems Engineer who has experience of working within the automotive sector. The key purpose of the role will be to develop automotive electronics/electrical systems, supporting throughout the full product lifecycle of all vehicle builds.

Responsibilities
- Company Policies: Follow the quality, health, safety, and welfare policies of the company
- Develop Electronics/Electrical System specifications from stakeholder requirements
- Requirement decomposition from high level requirements down to sub-system requirements and into test cases with full traceability
- Work closely as part of the electronics and electrical team to develop high quality cost effective electronic/electrical systems
- Support electrical system design and integration across all vehicle areas (including chassis systems, body systems and powertrain integration)
- Electrical/electronic system design and prototype build support
- Full cycle product design and support
- Specify test plans for developed systems
- Develop test and validation specifications
- Manage documentation as part of change management process for existing systems
- Specify test plans for developed systems
- Complete system level design verification and function sign off in line with project deadlines
Essential Skills
- Degree qualified within the subject of electronics/electrical or equivalent
- 3 to 5 years or more experience in electrical systems development
- Automotive experience with an OEM or tier 1 supplier
- Electrical integration and fault-finding experience
- Experience in CAN & LIN including Vector tools, vehicle on-board diagnostics, network management
- Knowledge of design process and tools (DFMEA, PFMEA, APQP, HARA, Tolerances, etc.)
- Ability to use various electrical test instruments DVMs, Scopes, Insulation Testers etc
- Understanding importance of engineering change requests
- Excels in organisational skills and time management
- A drive to learn and improve at every opportunity
- Good communication skills
- Professional attitude and ability to work in multi-discipline teams
- Flexible approach to working
- Discipline to follow technical and administrational procedures
- In depth understanding of harness and schematic drawings
Desirable
- Awareness of ISO26262
- Awareness of automotive cybersecurity regulations
- Knowledge of engine management systems
- Knowledge of electrical chassis systems such as ABS, EPAS, etc.
- Awareness of Automotive SPICE in relation to system design
- EMC design good practice
- Experience in use of Enterprise Architect for system design with SysML, or alternative system modelling tools
- Matlab/Simulink trained
- Use of ECAD packages for schematic capture & PCB design
- Experience with environmental validation requirements
- Use of 3D CAD tools such as Catia
- Vesys EDS Design System trained
