This is a junior level role, designed for an individual with some previous Telecoms experience to gain the necessary engineering skills to eventually develop into a Telecoms (UC/CC) Project Engineer.
In this role you will be guided through a structured training plan and be mentored by experienced engineers and project managers, before eventually putting your training to the test in a customer environment.
Join our Project Engineering Team
You’ll be part of a dynamic and supportive team, working towards becoming the technical lead working side-by-side with the PMO team in the delivery of projects, whether they be internal projects or external client orders. The PMO team need to have sufficient engineering resource available to them to fulfil project orders and this role is to assist that. This is a technical team, and it is essential to maintain up-to-date skills for the nominated products in order to deliver projects effectively.
You will also be responsible for:
- Project documentation, daily paperwork / Project Admin
- Project incident logging
- Installation and configuration of both hardware and software applications at the customer premises and remotely where applicable
- Fault diagnosis and resolution
- Remote programming for additional works and system related changes
- End user training for products installed
- Uphold the company ethos of ensuring continual improvement is always at the heart of dealing with any issues or complaints
- Effective liaison with customers and 3rd parties involved
Salary £28k + Car Allowance
25 Days Holiday + 8 Bank Holidays

Who are we looking for?
We are seeking a Junior Project Engineer with:
- Minimum of 1 years Telecoms industry experience, ideally but not limited to a provisioning or service desk role
- Some experience of liaising with customers and 3rd parties, with the ability to demonstrate focused customer care skills, both on site and remotely
- A basic understanding of unified communications
- A basic understanding of and the ability to navigate through partner portals
- PC literate, with a minimum of intermediate level experience in the Microsoft Office Suite; with a focus on Excel, Word and Outlook
- A very capable mind-set and full ownership qualities to see a fault through to the end, a desire to complete each issue to complete resolution and satisfaction even if this continues outside of your working timeframes
- Strong communication skills
