Do you want to work for the UK’s leading manufacturer of decorative surfaces and laminate worktops? We are currently searching for a Business Development Manager covering the south-west region.

To develop our sales in decorative laminate tile replacement wall panel products. Principally into direct to home DIY, merchant, consumer retail, multi-site accommodation and hotel market sectors.
Brands include Wetwall, Mermaid, and Splashwall alongside own label into merchant customers.
Job Description
Responsibilities:
Generate new business by developing customer base for our brands within a nominated territory. Develop and manage sales objectives and development plans alongside customers, colleagues and management.
Create strong, credible and lasting relationships with our direct and indirect customers based on trust and sales growth.
Maintain the day to day field-based liaison between our company and direct and indirect trade customers.
Anticipate and understand our customer's specific needs and develop solutions.
Preserve existing business within each direct customer account.
Understand current and changing market trends and understand how they affect our customers at all levels.
Maintain a strong knowledge of our products, competitor products and associated products in the marketplace.
Undertake classroom training seminars for sales people.
Occasionally undertake hands own installer training both in classroom and workshop.
Annually develop sales targets for the territory by brand.
Advise on customer complaints under guarantees.
Maintain up to date expenses returns with accounts monthly
Job qualifications and requirements
- Excellent market knowledge and relationships in sanitaryware and bathroom markets.
- Good business acumen and strong abilities develop strategies to expand sales.
- Willingness to take responsibility and accountability.
- Good presentation skills and a talent for sales and negotiation.
- Ability to show leadership and work under own initiative.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Good verbal, written and interpersonal communication.
- Ability to manage time, prioritise tasks and work under pressure.
- Able to work anywhere in the nominated territory; the role requires travel and
