A rare opportunity has arisen in one of the world's leading multi-disciplinary consultancies for a Principal Electrical Engineer to be based out of their Cardiff office.
You will be working on some of the most technical challenging projects as the lead consultant, where MEP is the lead discipline (finally!). You will be engaged in healthcare, commercial, and data center projects.
The Principal Electrical Engineer will be a focal point of contact for the client and able to strategically influence. You will be accountable for the overall MEP Design of large scale, technically complex projects in the UK and overseas.
You will have the ability to think outside of your discipline and work closely with all other disciplines such as structural, architectural and civils.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage electrical engineering projects from inception to completion
- Develop and implement electrical engineering designs and solutions
- Collaborate with other disciplines to ensure that all engineering work is carried out to the highest standards
- Manage and supervise a team of electrical engineers
- Develop and maintain relationships with clients and stakeholders
Requirements
- Chartered Engineer status via an appropriate professional institution
- Extensive experience in delivering electrical engineering projects
- Proven people management skills and experience of managing staff at all levels
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
