PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Be the first point of contact for the customer regarding all technical aspects of Gentex's product portfolio.
- Be part of a global account team.
- Create and maintain a customer network focusing on engineering to promote Gentex's growth.
- Strategically establish and manage a customer network with an engineering focus to propel Gentex's growth.
- Understand the customer roadmap and future needs to align the Gentex technology portfolio with Sales, PM, and the product team.
- Find niches to position Gentex products.
- Support the escalation, communication and resolution of issues, timing, specifications, etc.
- Operate closely and in conjunction with the Sales and Customer PM to support and deliver on
- strategic initiatives in support of Gentex OEM Customer Team priorities and needs.
- Understand, anticipate and communicate the customer’s needs, specifications and requirements.
- Understand, represent and negotiate Gentex’s priorities with the customer.
- Working knowledge of customer systems, processes, and requirements.
- Supports the completion and communication of these processes through the development and product life cycle.
- Coordinate regular formal and informal touchpoints with key engineering and vehicle platform team customer contacts.
- Support all customer activities in conjunction with Sales, Program Management, Core engineering teams and Quality.
- Assist in all engineering changes and coordinate the resolution of quality concerns and improvement initiatives, working closely with cross-functional teams to address and resolve them promptly.
- Provide customer plant on-site support as necessary to help resolve quality concerns and coordinate changes.
- Develop key contacts at the OEM production site.
- Provide assistance and input on shipping and material concerns.
- Remains present formally and informally at the customer(s) on a regular basis.
POSITION DEMANDS:
- Automotive experience working directly with or for related customers/ suppliers.
- Engineering degree or equivalent required.
- Significant travel to corporate headquarters in the USA. 2-3 times/year. Ideally several extended
- periods (2-4 weeks at a time) during the first year to learn and network within Gentex.
- Excellent existing network within related customers/ suppliers.
- Professional communication skills.
- Self-starter.
- PC skills and experience with the customer-based portal and CAD release system.
- Proficiency in CAD software is preferred, focusing on modifying and releasing technical data in customer-based portals.
- Working knowledge of internal processes and procedures at the OEM customer.
- Needs to support all the engineering teams at the OEM.
- Experience in quality management tools and methodologies, such as FMEA, Six Sigma, and root cause analysis, is preferred.
- Travel to Gentex Coventry's office and customer facilities frequency and regularly
- Full UK Driving License required

- This position reports to INTL Engineering Manager.
- Significant Interaction with all levels of sales, commercial management, purchasing, production departments, quality, electrical, software, and mechanical engineering departments.
