Position: Site Manager
Location: Basingstoke
Salary: £50,000 - £60,000 plus package
Our client, a leading design and build contractor specializing in the steel frame industry, is seeking a dynamic and experienced Site Manager to oversee a prestigious project in Basingstoke. Having recently secured nine industrial units valued at £25 million, this is an exciting opportunity for a skilled professional to lead the project from earthworks and infrastructure to the final build. The successful candidate will join a forward-thinking team and play a pivotal role in the continued success of our client.
Responsibilities:
Collaborate closely with the Project Manager, Construction Director, and Project Surveyor to effectively plan the project, ensuring understanding and agreement on project requirements, specifications, design drawings, and HSEQ procedures.
Daily liaison with the site team regarding planned works and site issues.
Set up and manage general site facilities, ensuring a secure site that adheres to all HSEQ practices.
Ensure safety for the public, site visitors, and staff on site at all times, implementing preventative measures.
Supervise and manage all site-based operatives, overseeing all aspects of their work and conducting weekly subcontract meetings.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records for site attendance, site induction, toolbox talks, accidents, weekly site records, site safety inspections, plant register records, LOLER/PUWER/scaffold report records, and all staff-related forms/administration.
Liaise with clients to report progress and build strong client relationships.
Collaborate with the design team, issuing and monitoring design information.
Ensure accurate documentation of as-built drawings, CVIs, and RFIs.
Motivate the workforce and foster team spirit.
Mentor assistants and trainees.
Uphold quality standards and control procedures in accordance with Magrock’s Integrated Management Systems ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001.
Qualifications:
Relevant Site Management experience.
HNC/HND/Degree in construction management.
Leadership skills.
IT skills (Word, Excel, Outlook).
First Aid at Work.
SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme).
CSCS Card (management level).
Driving license.
Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
Good time management and organizational skills.
