Role Overview
As the central link between office and offshore operations, the Office-Based Geotechnical Engineer will provide daily support to offshore teams, ensuring high-quality deliverables and swift, professional responses to client communications. This role requires an unwavering commitment to Quality, Health, Safety, and Environmental (QHSE) standards, helping us maintain and enhance our reputation for excellence in the industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Daily Support: Review geotechnical data from vessels, providing timely guidance to maximize offshore productivity.
- Report Writing: Draft or audit operational and final reports, ensuring clarity, accuracy, and adherence to client requirements.
- Client Communication: Respond to client feedback, fostering strong client relationships and consistent communication.
- Data Analysis: Analyze and interpret Seismic CPT and engineering data to support project insights and decision-making.
- Lab Coordination: Liaise with internal and external laboratories, coordinating daily updates and results.
- Cross-Department Collaboration: Work with other departments to integrate geotechnical insights seamlessly across project disciplines.
Desired Skills and Qualifications:
- Educational Background: Advanced qualification in Geotechnics or related discipline.
- Geotechnical Expertise: Strong grounding in geotechnical principles; marine experience is an advantage.
- Communication: Excellent command of the English language, with strong report writing and communication skills.
- Auditing Experience: Previous experience with auditing is helpful but not essential.
- Flexibility: Ability to occasionally travel to support project needs.
