Kane Selection represents a nationally recognised provider of powered access (AWP/MEWPs) machines. Established over a decade ago, the company has seen consistent growth, including a 40% increase in sales revenue over the past four years.
Due to ongoing success, they’re expanding their sales team and looking for additional Business Development Managers. The current sales team already covers the South of England, and due to business growth, they need to add to the team.
The region will be based on your location, network, and experience. For example, if you’re in Oxfordshire covering the home counties and have a strong network there, the company will shape the territory around you, OR if you are used to covering the whole of the south, they also want to hear from you. The company is open to your location and territory.
As a Business Development Manager, you’ll be entering a region that has already achieved success. While you’ll manage existing accounts, your primary focus will be driving new business by identifying and building relationships with target clients in your region. You’ll represent the company, prioritising customer needs and successfully closing new deals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement strategies to attract new customers
- Research target businesses and sites
- Arrange meetings with potential new clients
- Present to clients and lead meetings, identifying their needs
- Build relationships with end users and manage the sales process to a successful close
- Attend trade shows, conventions, and industry events to promote the company’s positive image
The ideal candidate will have:
- 3+ years of experience in hiring out powered access equipment
- 5+ years of external sales experience
- Proven ability to build relationships with small and large end users
- The ability to self-generate appointments
- A self-motivated and driven attitude to succeed
