The company
A global leader in wet wipe manufacturing across personal care, cosmetic, baby care and household portfolios. With UK sites based in North Wales and Wigan, they have a work force known to have excellent staff retention rates and long term service.
The role
Joining an immediate team of 5 and reporting into the Quality Director, you will be responsible for monitoring, operating, driving compliance to, and reporting on, the effectiveness of the company Quality Management System (QMS)
- Maintenance and control of all quality system documentation
- Generation of Group level documentation such as Procedures and Work instructions.
- Generation of appropriate and accurate complaint responses within defined timeframes
- Collation of customer opinions and feedback using a multichannel approach – social media, online product reviews etc.
- Generation of quality data with basic level of analysis to provide the business with a basis from which to create improvement programs.
- Maintain customer portal systems and customer specification databases.
- Work with Harford data to support complaint responses and highlight trends and areas for improvement.
- CAPA logging, progress reporting and verification checks
- Manage QMS change control and participate in Product Specification Change control.
- Carry out Internal Audits of the QMS
The qualifications and experience needed
- Previous experience within QA and quality management systems
- Experience from an FMCG manufacturing background
- Working knowledge of GMP, BRC and ISO standards
- Experience of root cause analysis and devising suitable CAPA plans.
- Auditing experience in an FMCG environment
The terms and benefits
- Salary – between £30k - £35K per annum (Dependent on experience)
- Hours of work: 9-5 Monday – Friday (with some flexibility)
- Location – based at Flint with occasional travel to Wigan site
- Bonus (not guaranteed)
- Pension –Employee 5% Company 5% (this increases to 7% in 4th year of employment and 9% in the 5th)
- Holidays – First year 23 days, second year 24 days fifth year 25 days (plus bank holidays)
- Life Assurance - cover equal to x1 basic annual pay. After 5 years this will increase to three times annual salary.
