We are currently looking for a Process Technologist
Customer Management
• Develop good working relationships with the customer technologists
• Assist with key technical and development matters internally & externally
• Ensure seamless working with customer and MM Flowers account team including full alignment with commercial and NPD goals
• Prepare accurate and timely reports when requested. Assist with preparing data and insight for MM Flowers and 3rd party customers.
Product Management
• Support the Commercial proposals with technical input and dialogue
• Work closely with the Commercial teams to understand market requirements and performance, and to research and develop new varieties and packaging formats
• Use data and experience to ensure that raw material and finished goods are appropriately benchmarked
• Contribute to sourcing decisions to deliver consistency and product quality appropriate to needs e.g., specification, compliance
Functional Management
• Being in a team that works closely with Commercial, Buying, NPD and ESGteams building on current partnerships and creating new ones
• Assist with advising the MM Flowers team on the correct quality systems and principles, to set leading customer and industry standards
• Ensure databases with accurate data entry
For this role it would be great if you have;
SKILLSET AND EXPERIENCE
• Experience of the horticultural/retail industry beneficial
• Understanding of breeding, growing and post-harvest of fresh produce
• Basic knowledge of plant biological and physiological processes
• Good organisational, problem solving and analytical skills
• Confident communication of key findings and opportunities to a diverse audience base.
