A bit about the role:
• My client is looking for a highly motivated individual, who is passionate about understanding customer problems, and able to deliver high-quality solutions on time.
• The Technical Service Engineer will be responsible providing technical support to customers on the clients Products & Services
• You will be required to provide both 1st & 2nd level technical support for the clients engineering systems and solutions.
• In the role of Technical Service Engineer, you will be liaising with the R&D division to investigate complex technical problems – to come up with a quick solution.
• This role is a Hybrid role but also may include you to go out and support the client’s engineers on site.
• Within the role of this Technical Engineer, you may be occasionally required to assist with the SAT or FAT systems and commissioning.
• With your engineering technical experience, this position may include delivering the occasional training courses to end users/customers.
• Within this Technical Service Engineer role, it is essential that you are comfortable in speaking with customers both via phone and face to face.
What’s required:
• Full UK Driving License, and willingness to travel to customer sites
• HNC/HND in Electrical Engineering
• Wide knowledge of PC and Server Hardware/ Operating systems
• Can demonstrate a high level of experience in programming, such as SQL, C, C++ or Visual Basics
• Confident & comfortable with speaking to customers daily
• History of working with DCS and industrial process control systems
• A proven track record of PLC programming (IEC)/ PLC Hardware
