As a member of the Safety, Health, Environment and Quality (SHEQ) team you will report to the Head of Safety Assurance. You will support the development and implementation of effective systems to manage the data by which Trinity can verify and assure the competence of those working for or on their behalf. You will also collate, maintain and develop the training data liaising with LDP/CMO to ensure these are up to date and allow Trinity to verify the competency of the engineers working on the contract and facilitate the Trinity Induction Process for LDP operatives.
Your Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
- Developing and maintaining the Trinity procedures for verifying and assuring the technical competencies of those working for or on behalf of Trinity in the delivery of the Cadent West Midlands contract.
- Requesting, collating and managing the data confirming levels of competency of those working on the contract.
- Preparing management information and reports for the confirmation of levels of compliance.
- Facilitating and supporting the delivery of induction training for all LDP operational teams.
- Liaising with training providers to verify data provided by the LDP’s.
- Undertaking checks on the data provided by the LDP’s to verify accuracy.
Key Targets / KPI’s
On an annual basis, in addition to related KPI’s, a set of agreed KPI’s against which your performance will be measured. These will include:
- Keeping all training data up to date each month.
- Undertaking an agreed number of checks every month to verify data accuracy.
- Producing reports in the timescales agreed.
- Specific projects to drive improved performance in agreed timescales.

In order to fulfil the responsibilities as set out in this document the Training & Data Manager requires the support of and must engage with, a wide variety of stakeholders both internal and external including but not limited to:
- Head of Safety & Assurance.
- Senior SHE Advisor and Technical Compliance Officer.
- Other members of the SHEQ team.
- Trinity Project/ Site Managers.
- LDP operational teams and management.
- Client representatives including but not limited to Safety and Assurance team members.
