Business Development Manager – Hybrid Working (Events & Sponsorship)
Salary: £35,000 - £38,000 per annum + uncapped commission (on-target earnings of up to £50,000 based on sponsorship targets).
Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:30am – 4:30pm (with flexible working hours).
Location: Rossendale, Hybrid – Office based 2 days/week (with free parking), remote for the rest.
Talentloop are exclusively partnering with a leading events and sponsorship company to help recruit a passionate and driven Business Development Manager to play a key role in their growth strategy. This role is ideal for someone with 4+ years of experience in business development or sponsorship sales, particularly within events or media.
Key Responsibilities:
- Define and implement the business development strategy for sponsorships and client events.
- Proactively grow sponsorship revenue through outreach and relationship-building activities.
- Research and identify potential sponsors aligned with the company’s mission and values.
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with sponsors, ensuring regular communication and meeting sponsor objectives.
- Collaborate with internal teams (events, marketing, and sales) to create tailored sponsorship packages.
- Attend events in the UK and abroad to represent the company, network, and drive sponsorship sales.
- Manage sponsor fulfilment, including event deliverables, invoicing, and post-event reviews.
- Track and report sponsorship progress and sales performance.
What We’re Looking For:
- 4+ years of sales experience, with a proven track record in business development or sponsorship sales.
- Experience in events or media sales is essential.
- Strong negotiation, pitching, and relationship management skills.
- High level of organisational and time management skills with the ability to juggle multiple projects.
- Proficiency in CRM systems (preferably HubSpot) and strong IT skills.
