Elevation Recruitment Group are pleased to be working with a leading Project Management Consultancy, to help them recruit a Project Manager to work closely with an Automotive Manufacturing business based near Milton Keynes.
They are currently expanding their operations and are seeking a Project Management Consultant to lead and support strategic projects aimed at optimizing production, enhancing efficiency, and driving business transformation.
As a Project Management Consultant, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-impact projects that align with the company's strategic goals. You will be responsible for overseeing the end-to-end delivery of projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Project Planning & Execution: Develop detailed project plans, timelines, and budgets for large-scale manufacturing projects, ensuring alignment with company objectives.
- Stakeholder Management: Act as the main point of contact between internal teams, external suppliers, and senior management, ensuring smooth communication and collaboration across all project phases.
- Risk Management: Identify potential risks and implement mitigation strategies to ensure the timely and successful delivery of projects.
- Process Optimization: Collaborate with engineering and production teams to identify areas for operational improvement, leveraging Lean and Six Sigma methodologies.
- Performance Monitoring: Track project progress using performance metrics, ensuring KPIs are met and reporting regularly to stakeholders.
- Change Management: Lead change initiatives to streamline production processes, ensuring minimal disruption and maximized output.
- Budget Management: Manage project budgets, ensuring cost efficiency without compromising on quality or delivery timelines.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure all project deliverables meet the company’s stringent quality standards, particularly in relation to automotive manufacturing regulations.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Management, or related fields (Master's degree or PMP certification is highly desirable).
- Proven experience in project management within the manufacturing sector, with experience working for blue-chip or global organizations.
- Strong understanding of automotive manufacturing processes, including production lines, supply chain management, and quality assurance.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, and other process improvement methodologies.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with experience managing relationships with senior stakeholders.
- Proficiency in project management software tools (e.g., Microsoft Project, Primavera, or similar).
