Overview of the role
The successful candidate will be a competent and proven EC&I Engineer, capable of expertise across the lifecycle of EC&I Systems; checking and facilitating designs, supporting calculations and technical documents (inc. plans) with minimal supervision. They will have the ability to translate a client's requirements into a meaningful engineering and technical solution. Good communication skills are essential.
Key responsibilities
- Maintain the engineering quality of the project, ensuring compliance with client specifications and engineering standards and local domain policy and procedures.
- Be responsible for the technical quality of complex, fit-for-purpose engineering systems.
- Have experience of lifecycle and maturity management.
- Generate and update technical documentation to the client’s specification.
- Maintain compliance with engineering standards and applicable legislation.
- Participate in design and system level reviews. ensure that subsequent design meets the project and client requirements.
- Ensure the confidentiality and security of data and information received from clients is upheld.
Desired Qualifications / Prerequisites:
- Qualified to degree level in an appropriate STEM area.
- Creative problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Excellent critical thinking skills and a high level of numeracy
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong teamworking skills, with an ability to motivate others and to lead or manage teams and projects
- Flexibility and an ability to compromise
- A willingness to accept responsibility and make decisions
- A high level of attention to detail
- An understanding of, and ability to work with, high-level computer technology
