Buckles are recruiting for an enthusiastic and passionate Legal Secretary to join the team in our Stamford office on a permanent contract for 37.5 hours per week.
The role will be working across a variety of legal disciplines, so having previous experience, a strong understanding and sound knowledge of the key requirements for a Legal Secretary role are essential.
Purpose of the Legal Secretary Role:
- Providing seamless legal services to clients and supporting a team of lawyers and secretaries.
- Creating invoices and credit notes and completing monthly expenses.
- Sending client’s receipts of monies paid by card.
- Carrying out audits on lawyers’ files to ensure they are compliant with AML and SRA regulations.
- Amending documents and letters and keeping the document management system updated with any changes in client’s information.
- Providing efficient diary and email management.
- Providing effective management of visitors and calls.
- Handling incoming and outgoing mail.
- Managing communication with internal and external contacts ensuring that the HODs are informed of all matters.
- Preparing correspondence when required.
- Working with BigHand for any dictation requirements.
- Providing ad hoc personal administrative assistance to all.
- Covering other areas of support when required.
Who is our ideal candidate?
- Highly organised person with great administration skills.
- Ideally 12-months experience of working as a Legal Secretary.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Have excellent planning and prioritisation skills.
- Good understanding of word for formatting, track changes etc.
- Ability to perform well under pressure to meeting necessary deadlines.
- Demonstrate and maintain a calm approach.
- Ability to be resourceful with good time management skills.
