Description:
We are a leading electronics manufacturing company specializing in the production of high-power, non-isolated buck converters for UV curing systems. Our company is known for delivering quality products, but we are at a critical juncture where modernization and optimization of our manufacturing processes are essential for continued growth and competitiveness.
We are looking for an experienced Project Manager to serve as the primary liaison with our main customer, a leading manufacturer of UV curing systems for the print industry. The Project Manager will be responsible for managing customer relationships, ensuring timely delivery of projects, and coordinating with internal teams to modernize and optimize manufacturing operations. You will work closely with both the customer and our internal teams to track and manage design improvements, production schedules, and ensure that quality standards are consistently met.
Responsibilities:
- Customer Relationship Management: Act as the main point of contact between the company and the customer. Maintain regular communication to ensure both parties are aligned on expectations, timelines, and technical requirements.
- Project Delivery: Oversee the complete lifecycle of projects, from customer requirements gathering to production and delivery. Track progress, manage schedules, and ensure milestones are met in a timely manner.
- Action Tracker Management: Maintain an action tracker to monitor project progress, highlight bottlenecks, and ensure that both internal and customer actions are completed according to the schedule. Key tasks include:
- Managing delivery schedules based on customer feedback.
- Coordinating the consumption of old stock and the transition to new designs, ensuring technical approvals are in place.
- Ensuring timely component ordering within lead times and communicating delivery forecasts.
- Monitoring technical points, such as design modifications, and firmware improvements.
- Internal Coordination: Work with the engineering and production teams to align on technical design changes, root cause analysis of product issues, and testing requirements. Ensure smooth implementation of modifications such as firmware updates and design revisions (e.g., for SP2380 and RLT16).
- Component Shortages and Forecasting: Collaborate with supply chain and the customer to forecast future material needs, expedite component shortages, and ensure stock availability. Address issues such as overconsumption and production delays.
- Reporting and Feedback: Provide regular updates to both the customer and senior management on project status, potential issues, and areas for improvement.
Education / Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Project Management in electronics manufacturing, or a related field.
- 5+ years of project management experience, preferably in electronics manufacturing or related industries.
- Familiarity with through-hole electronics manufacturing. (is a plus)
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
- Experience working with supply chains, including managing long lead times for components.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to manage both internal teams and customer relationships.
- Familiarity with technical testing and quality control in electronics manufacturing. (is a plus)
Compensation and Benefits:
Hours of Work: 38 per week, 8.30 am to 5.30 pm with half hour lunch break from Monday through Thursday and 8.30 am to 12.30 pm Friday
Pension: Group Stakeholder Pension Scheme. Company’s contribution 5% of basic salary, employee contribution a minimum of 4% of basic salary
Holiday Entitlement: 194 hours holiday (up to 4.5 weeks)
