Job Title: Reception Teacher

Type: Full-Time,

Location: Ealing, London

Salary: Standard national scale in line with the current School Teachers’ Pay and Conditions document (Inner London)

Line Manager: The headteacher, senior and middle leadership teams, and the governing body of the school

Supervisory Responsibility: The postholder may supervise classroom assistants relevant to their responsibilities

MLK Education Search are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and dynamic Early Years Reception Teacher to join a wonderful primary school in Greenford and Northolt community in the London Borough of Ealing.

Key Responsibilities:

Establish a safe and stimulating environment rooted in mutual respect.
Set goals that stretch and challenge pupils of all backgrounds and abilities.
Consistently demonstrate positive attitudes, values, and behaviour.
Be accountable for pupils’ attainment, progress, and outcomes.
Plan teaching to build on pupils’ capabilities and prior knowledge.
Guide pupils to reflect on their progress and emerging needs.
Encourage pupils to take a responsible attitude towards their work and study.
Maintain secure knowledge of relevant subjects and curriculum areas.
Foster and maintain pupils’ interest in the subject.
Promote high standards of literacy, articulacy, and correct use of standard English.
Demonstrate understanding of systematic synthetic phonics and appropriate teaching strategies for early mathematics.
Establish clear rules and routines for behaviour in classrooms.
Promote good and courteous behaviour in accordance with the school’s behaviour policy.
Manage classes effectively to involve and motivate pupils.
