We are working with a dynamic digital solutions company who are looking for a PHP Development Team Lead to bridge the gap between their clients and the development team. Working with a Director, you'll be responsible for understanding customer needs, managing the time and tasks of a small team of developers, and ensuring the successful delivery of custom solutions.
In this role, you'll work directly with clients to define system requirements, suggest new features, and build development roadmaps. You’ll manage tasks and milestones via GitLab, and lead a talented team to ensure projects stay on track. Your expertise in PHP 7+, PHP frameworks, MySQL, HTML/CSS/JavaScript, and GitLab will be essential in driving success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Liaise with clients to understand and develop solutions that meet their business needs.
- Lead and co-ordinate the efforts of a development team (4 members) including daily task stewardship, project managing and building out a clear communication plan for internal and external parties.
- Use GitLab for project management, setting tasks, tracking progress, and resolving issues.
- Communicate progress to clients, ensuring they remain engaged and satisfied with delivered features and either acting as an escalation point or being a proactive business partner.
