2020 Recruitment are working with one of our engineering clients who are looking for an Aftermarket PCE Technician to join their Inverurie based team.
This is an opportunity for an experienced Technician to work for a market leader of their industry.
The Role
As the Aftermarket PCE Technician, you will be responsible for safely and accurately disassembling / assembling and testing of Pressure Control Products, consisting of BOPs, Lubricators, Toolcatchers, Quick Test Subs, Greaseheads, Check valves, Flanges and Air operated Hydraulic Control Modules also performing repairs and reporting quality issues.
Duties & Responsibilities
As the Aftermarket PCE Technician your duties and responsibilities will include the following:
Read, interpret and follow basic blueprints, diagrams, engineering drawings, specifications, bills of materials, and other written instructions or procedures to accurately assemble equipment and products
Service and repair hydraulic systems as per designs/procedures, ensuring the cleanliness of hydraulic systems is always maintained
Carry out work instructions as given by Supervisor, e.g. work specifications, equipment operation.
Monitor and control materials, products or equipment to detect defects or faults.
Identify product defects and complete appropriate documentation when defects are identified
Rework and/or repair assembled equipment and products according to engineering specification changes
Maintain quality and quantity of production.
Check work via use of gauges, visuals and measuring tools
Requirements
To be considered for the Aftermarket PCE Technician role you must have the following skills & experience:
Ability to understand, evaluate and apply technical information
Ability to read and understand Engineering drawings, schematics and ETS as well as written instructions and procedures
Ability to learn the context of a challenge and quickly integrate new skill
