Quality Inspector
Objective of the position:
A key part of this role is to demonstrate a broad number of inspection tasks well and repeat these tasks as required to inspect a high volume of quality product in the shortest possible time, to maintain production schedules.
Responsible for all aspects of Quality inspection. Interpret prints, manufacturing drawings, diagrams, etc. to conduct visual, mechanical, and dimensional inspection on cable and mechanical assemblies as well as printed circuit boards in order to verify acceptability.

Nature of Duties/Responsibilities:
- Conducts repetitive inspection of product/materials against known standards, procedures and checklists.
- Identifies and segregates non-conforming material
- Identifies, articulates and escalates problems or issues for Technical Support or Engineering, and assists in gathering requested information and proof necessary to help establish the root cause of problems and determine corrective action.
- Recognises discrepancies in documentation or problems with quality, product, or process, and recommends changes.
- Provides guidance to operators in areas such as workmanship standards, documentation, procedures, etc during patrol inspection.
Requirements:
- Ability to use micrometer, caliper and pin gages
- Understanding of SPC Techniques and sampling plans
- A working knowledge of IPC standards preferable
- Must be able to work in a fast paced, highly demanding environment
- A minimum of 1 year previous inspection experience preferable
- Generally requires 2-4 years of factory experience in a technical manufacturing environment
