Summary of Role
Based on site full time for the duration of the project in Deeside (approx. 12mths), you will be responsible for overseeing and managing all finishing activities on the Amspec Construction Site (Large Architectural package of works).
This includes supervising the application and quality of interior and exterior finishes, ensuring that all work is completed to the highest standards and in accordance with project specifications, timelines, and budgets. You will play a crucial role in delivering the final appearance and quality of the construction project.
Role & Responsibilities
Project Planning and Coordination:
- Develop and implement detailed schedules for finishing activities.
- Coordinate with Amspec project managers, architects, and subcontractors to ensure alignment on finishing requirements and expected standards.
Quality Control and Assurance:
- Ensure that all finishing works meet or exceed Amspec’s standards and project specifications.
- Conduct regular inspections and quality checks of all finishing activities via our project management tool Procore.
- Address and manage any defects or issues promptly.
Safety and Compliance:
- Ensure all finishing activities comply with safety regulations.
- Conduct regular safety inspections and enforce safety protocols.
- Promote a culture of safety within the project team
Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all finishing activities via Amspec Project management software Procore.
- Prepare and submit regular progress reports to the Amspec project management team.
- Document any changes or deviations from the original plan and seek approvals as necessary.
Essential Requirements
Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction with a focus on finishing works.
Previous experience in a supervisory or managerial role is required.
- SSSTS or SMSTS
- Strong knowledge of finishing materials, techniques, and industry standards.
- Excellent management and organizational skills.
- Strong leadership and team management abilities.
- Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
- Proficiency in construction management software
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
