About the Role
The role of the Production Scheduler is key to ensuring that manufacturing production is programmed correctly, from a specification and timing point of view, that supply and production factors are accounted for and managed and that excellent relationships are built and maintained across colleague and client teams. The post holder will be required to liaise across multiple departments, taking a hands-on and involved approach to ensure tasks are programmed, co-ordinated and completed on time.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate closely with 15 departments ensuring seamless planning coordination to achieve timely shipping targets.
- Effectively process and manage client information folding these into programming activities.
- Regularly update production schedules for all projects.
- Ensure timely and accurate fulfilment of requested supplies by effectively managing and coordinating purchase orders.
- Manage service spares and damage replacements.
- Conduct weekly meetings with department supervisors to review progress, document issues, and assess stock levels.
- Conduct weekly meetings across teams to gather status information, collate data and provide management with status updates.
- Monitor and maintain stock levels coordinating with assembly and production departments.
- Compile and record necessary data used to inform Key Performance Indicator reporting.
- Conduct regular meetings with clients both face-to-face and via video conferencing platforms.
Skills and Experience Required
- Scheduling experience: 1 year (preferred)
- Experience in production planning: 1 year (required)
- Possess strong communication, interpersonal and negotiating skills.
- Have the ability and interpersonal skills and confidence to develop and nurture key customer and workforce relationships.
- Be proficient in MS Office Suite, in particular being able to use Excel to an advanced level employing conditional formatting, VLOOKUP, IF statements, pivot tables and more.
- Be both proactive and reactive in their approach to the role to ensure all planning, scheduling and reactivity to issues are well-managed.
- Be a strong problem-solver.
- Possess a flexible approach and able to adapt to changing requirements at short notice.
- Have excellent oral and written communication skills. Always ensuring clear and concise communications with colleagues and stakeholders. and able to form and articulate ideas.
- Have a positive and proactive attitude, demonstrating a willingness to take on challenges, find solutions and cooperate with the ideas and solutions of others.
- Can remain calm under pressure.
- Maintain a professional, accountable, proactive, and helpful attitude always.

Pay range and compensation package
