Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

Shipment Coordination

Coordinate all aspects of ocean import/export shipments, from booking to delivery.
Prepare and process shipping documentation, including bills of lading, commercial invoices, and customs declarations.
Liaise with shipping lines, customs brokers, and other relevant parties to ensure efficient and compliant shipments.

Customer Service

Provide exceptional customer service to both internal and external clients.
Address customer inquiries and resolve issues promptly and professionally.
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients.

Rate Negotiation

Negotiate competitive freight rates with shipping lines to optimize costs.
Monitor market trends and identify opportunities for cost savings.

Logistics Management

Manage the entire logistics process, including cargo consolidation, warehousing, and transportation.
Track shipments and provide regular updates to clients.

Compliance

Ensure compliance with all import/export regulations and industry standards.
Stay updated on industry changes and best practices.

Qualifications and Experience:

Proven experience in ocean import/export coordination, preferably with a focus on deep-sea shipments.
Strong knowledge of import/export regulations and documentation.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in relevant software applications (e.g., SAP, customs clearance software).
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
