This position has opened because of an increase in workload and it would be ideal for someone with experience in this area of law, who wishes to have a settled career within a highly successful Immigration law firm.
THE ROLE
We are currently looking to recruit an experienced Immigration Caseworker / Paralegal / Immigration Solicitor to join our well-established team. You will have conduct of a broad range of Immigration and Nationality work from initial application through to decision challenges.You will be expected to carry out various responsibilities including:
§ Dealing with all aspects of Immigration Law including Skilled Worker cases, Spouse Visa, Family based visa Applications, Citizenship cases, ILR cases, Appeals, Entry Clearance applications, Sponsor Licence, Private Life applications etc
§ Assisting the Senior Solicitor / Senior Caseworker with Immigration caseload
§ Managing and progressing own caseload including dealing with the matter from start to conclusion, preparing applications, completing relevant forms, drafting cover letters etc
§ Attending clients and assisting with cases
§ Drafting letters and witness statements
§ Liaising with clients, courts and other authorities
§ Performing legal research
§ Other administrative tasks and administrative support including reception duties, dealing with phone calls, dealing with clients etc
THE CANDIDATE
The successful candidate will:
§ Have extensive experience / knowledge of Immigration Law including completing various types of Immigration applications
§ Have excellent knowledge of immigration rules and common immigration issues
§ Have experience of handling own Immigration caseload
§ Be Able to work both independently and under the supervision of a Supervising Solicitor
§ Be self-sufficient and highly motivated with excellent communication skills;
§ Be able to communicate fluently in Hindi / Punjabi / Urdu languages;
§ Be IT literate and able to use MS Word and Excel;
§ Be highly organised and be able to manage a full workload;
§ Be professional, personable and efficient
§ Preferably be a Law graduate and/or completed LPC or OISC Accredited previously
SALARY OFFERED
Full Time: £25,000 per annum - £28,000 PA (depending on Experience / Qualifications)
