As a Trainee Buyer, you are responsible for the procurement of materials and providing purchasing support to the wider business. The Role
An exciting opportunity to join our Easihold division has opened to support the Operations team. Easihold has taken the market by storm racking up over a 100 million views on TikTok and becoming a go to product for people across the globe.
In this role you will be working closely with the MD and the Operations team purchasing raw materials, sourcing new suppliers and assisting with negotiations of prices!
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone to start their career in Operations and will offer the successful candidate great opportunities to progress within the business.
As a Trainee Buyer at Vuba, you will be responsible for but are not limited to:
- Purchasing of raw materials, finished goods, packaging and other materials
- Liaise with suppliers on a daily basis
- Negotiating purchase prices and contracts with suppliers
- Comply with a “just-in-time” stock strategy, ensuring an efficient stock level over all sites
- Creation of purchase orders
- Carry out general administrative responsibilities within the department
- Building and maintaining relationships with suppliers
- Create reports of suppliers, based on quality, timeliness and price
- Schedule of deliveries to ensure adequate stock levels, in line with purchasing strategy
- Deal with any purchase order/invoice issues
- Research alternative suppliers and competitor prices
- Support the Production Planner with the budgets and forecasts
- Any other ad hoc duties
We’re looking for somebody who is:
- Good time management skills, as you may have multiple tasks and issues happening concurrently
- Strong communication skills to effectively communicate with suppliers, managers and colleagues
- Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills to identify issues and effectively deal with them
- Ability to build strong working relationships both internally and externally
- Excellent attention to detail
- Comfort in making key decisions and the ability to work in a high-pressure environment
