Information Governance Officer
Role Overview
We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Information Governance Officer to join our highly regarded and multi-professional team. In this pivotal role, you will support the Senior Information Governance Manager in the delivery of Information Governance Services to Arden & GEM CSU. You will assist in the management, coordination, monitoring, and support of the standards required within the Information Governance Data Security Protection Toolkit (DSPT). You will be responsible for ensuring that continued progress against the standards has been suitably achieved while developing and implementing work plans to ensure year on year improvement.
Role Scope:
- Full time hours - 37.5 per week
- A fixed-term agreement for 6 months
- A remote work schedule with occasional office days for team meetings in Warwick.

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide guidance and advice to teams and senior management on a wide range of complex issues and escalate as and when required.
- Monitor and manage data protection incidents, breaches, and complaints, ensuring appropriate actions are taken to mitigate risks.
- Assist with and co-ordinate the production, collation, and systematic returns and recording of evidence to support compliance with the Data Security and Protection Toolkit.
- Create and maintain dashboards and performance reports against key performance indicators, evidencing IG compliance and progress, highlighting any issues to the Senior IG Manager.
- Take responsibility for the preparation of correspondence and complex papers as directed.
What we’re looking for:
- Previous experience in information governance, preferable within the NHS or a healthcare setting.
- Proven ability to manage sensitive information and always maintain confidentiality.
- Experience in working with the DSPT (Data Security & Protection Toolkit).
- Good understanding of data protection and wider information governance issues.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage and advise staff at all levels.
- Strong organisational skills and be able to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Evidence of success in efficient and effective project management.
