Job Opportunities

We are particularly interested and looking for boatbuilding professionals of all levels who have hand and power tool knowledge and composite experience. These roles include but are not limited to platform assembly, maintenance, repairs, development and measurement of the F50.
Entry Level Boat Builder
- Basic knowledge of hand and power tools.
- Working as part of a team following guidance and instructions.
- Have a willingness to work towards a high standard of accuracy.
- Some knowledge of wet lamination and basic vacuum bagging techniques.
- Able to complete simple boat building operations.
- Some knowledge of PrePreg materials would be useful but not essential.
- Preparation of materials and consumables for laminating processes
- Cleaning and maintenance of tools and equipment
- General day to day housekeeping and cleaning duties.
Boat Builder
- Understand production drawings and follow part specifications precisely
- To build and assemble carbon fibre structural components with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Extensive practical knowledge in all areas of composite boat building including mould / pattern making, construction and assembly, trimming, fitting and bonding processes.
- Laminating to a high standard in prepreg, wet lay up, secondary bonding and core bonding
- Skilled use of hand and power tools and confident use of table saw, band saw, chop saw, sanding wheels and other large equipment
- Confident to work independently and prioritise duties with minimal supervision, in order to meet deadlines.
- To ensure components and tooling are handled with care to prevent any form of damage
- Preparation of mould tools including set up, release coats / release films
Senior Boat Builder
- All of the above including the below:
- Manage a small team, mentor and develop individuals
- Work to specific measurable objectives requiring operational planning skills with little direct supervision
- Specialist in the subject area with extensive practical knowledge and can make evaluative judgements based on analysis of information as well as resolving issues related to own subject area
- Knowledge has been gained through specialist training and specific work experience
- Have considerable latitude for making decisions within their team
- Exercise crucial people skills
- Requires decision-making based on information and specialist knowledge, final decisions discussed with Senior management
- Involved in the definition of more complex boat building practices and procedures
