Job Title: Subcontracts Manager
Location: Warrington-This position is predominantly based in our Warrington office, with regular travel to client sites.
Salary: £70,000 - £75,000

Our client is a leading engineering and maintenance company known for delivering complex projects in the industrial sector.
We are seeking an experienced Subcontracts Manager to join our client team in Warrington. This role will involve working closely with subcontractors both remotely and on-site, as well as within our office. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure that all work is completed to the highest standards of quality, within budget, and on schedule
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage subcontractors to ensure timely, cost-effective, and high-quality project delivery.
• Monitor progress and performance of subcontractors, raising concerns and mitigating risks to meet deadlines and budget requirements.
• Review project progress regularly, approve risk management recommendations, and ensure risks are mitigated or eliminated.
• Handle change management processes, ensuring minimal deviation from the original project scope.
• Drive both internal and external teams to meet acceptance criteria.
• Collaborate with the SHEQ team to ensure Health & Safety requirements are managed effectively.
• Develop and support the supply chain strategy to strengthen the network of subcontractors.
• Manage technical, cost, schedule, and contract baselines with strong commercial acumen.
Required Experience:
• Proven track record in managing subcontractor/supplier networks and delivering projects.
• Experience in drafting detailed Requests for Quotations for contractual scopes on Automation/Automotive projects.
• Ability to establish and manage cost, schedule, technical baselines, and performance of subcontractors and suppliers.
• Demonstrated experience in subcontract management on major projects.
• Strong technical background in Automation and Controls.
• Understanding of business, finance, personnel management, and commercial aspects of projects.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and influencing skills.
• Full, clean UK driving license and willingness to travel to client sites as required.
• NEC contractual awareness and implementation.
