Site Surveyor
Location: Bridgwater, Somerset
Working Hours: Full time, 38 hours per week
Salary: £45k-£55k + 20% project allowance is the banding

Manpower Engineering are recruiting on behalf of our client who are seeking out experienced Surveyor’s to have the opportunity to play a vital role as a Setting Out Surveyor at a prestigious nuclear project.
This is an exciting opportunity to work as part of an alliance dedicated to integrating and coordinating the delivery of Mechanical, Electrical, Heating, Ventilation, Air-Conditioning (MEH), cabling, and associated support services. This collaborative approach allows various contractors to function as a single entity to manage the complex installation of cabling and pipework within the power station’s extensive network.
The Role:
- As a Setting Out Surveyor, you will be an integral part of this nationally significant project. Your responsibilities will include: Conducting setting out surveys for the layout of temporary and permanent equipment.
- Performing post-install location surveys to ensure compliance with designed tolerances.
- Reviewing supplied setting out data and checking design coordinates against the site grid system.
- Producing “As-built” surveys of equipment foundations, including cast anchors and embedded plates.
- Working on mechanical piping projects.
Essential Experience:
- Extensive experience in setting out and surveying, particularly on mechanical piping installation projects.
- Proficiency with survey equipment such as Total Station and Digital Level.
- Experience in producing survey reports.
- Knowledge of CDM regulations.
- Experience with AutoCAD (essential); STARNET experience is desirable.
Qualifications:
- Surveying or engineering qualifications or equivalent experience.
Security Clearance:
The successful candidate must hold a valid UK passport and be able to obtain and maintain Standard (BPSS) security clearance.
