What you’ll do
We are looking for an entry-level Security Engineer. Reporting directly to one of our Security Engineering Specialists, you will:
- Provide customers with support to develop and enhance their security controls and capabilities, within a designated area of expertise.
- Liaise with our customers to keep them informed on developments.
- Provide subject matter expertise to projects by assessing gaps in security controls and provide / implement appropriate technical solutions to address customer requirements.
- Maintain up-to-date industry knowledge on new threats and countermeasures, focussing on your area of expertise.
- Provide technical support to security teams as required in interpreting data that identifies security issues, trends, possible security flaws and misconfigurations.
Where you'll be
This is a hybrid role (2 days per week in the office) based from our Edinburgh site. More details will be provided during the interview process.
How you’ll grow
You will be able to remain in a technical career path and progress to Senior Engineer position once you have gained suitable experience. Alternatively, you could consider opportunities in our Security Consulting or Security Response teams across a wide variety of roles that support our portfolio.
What you’ll bring
- You will be an entry-level professional in cyber security industry or demonstrate equivalent experience in an IT security role.
- Alternatively, you will be an experienced (Senior) SOC Analyst who wish to make the transition to a career in Security Engineering.
