Our client is a leading luxury travel brand, with offices worldwide.
this role is working within a focused and commercially minded HR team. You will be reporting into the Global VP HR. The HR team in the UK supports both centralised functions like Finance, Marketing, IT and also needs to work across multiple brands, and geographical regions.
The role would be responsible for Europe and UK, so operational People/HR experience in Europe (Spain and Italy specifically), with a good understanding of employment law in these European countries woudl be advantageous. This role would also be based in London, but would need someone who is willing to travel to Cheltenham on a regular basis, with occasional travel in Europe.
This role will be working closely with the leaders in their business areas to drive business success and enhance the employee experience. A true generalist role providing expert HR guidance across the range of HR functions including ER, performance management, talent development, org design, compensation & benefits.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with and work alongside the department heads to really understand the business
- Act as a trusted advisor on HR policies, practices and employment laws, ensuring compliance and mitigating risk
- Lead on all ER effort – conflict resolution, investigations and disciplinary actions
- Oversee performance management processes – goal setting, performance reviews, employee development
- Support talent acquisition working with line managers and internal recruiter
- Drive initiatives that foster a positive culture, promote engagement and improve retention
- Working with the Head of HR, lead org dev and change management initiatives within business areas to support business growth
- Provide coaching and guidance to managers
- Develop and use HR metrics and use data to improve HR processes and drive decision making
- Develop an understanding of the travel industry and it’s nuances, constantly seeking to further this knowledge and provide insight for the business
