Planet Pharma is currently recruiting for a Senior Scientist to work for a leading organisation in London.
It is essential you hold the following:
- Bioconjugation experience is essential - Lysine, inter-chain cysteine, site specific cysteine etc.
- Nice to have but not essential (NTHVNE) - ADC experience
- NTHVNE - Protein purification, Analytical Characterisation HPLC etc. SEC, RP, HIC, LCMS
- Either PHD with industry experience of BSc/MSc with more industry experience.
Responsibilities
• Independently design, produce, and characterise ADCs using standard and state-of-the-art methods, aligning with QC criteria.
• Lead and carrying out laboratory experiments focused on ADC conjugation, purification, and analytical characterisation, leveraging expertise in bioconjugation and protein engineering.
• Establish early discovery stage bioconjugation capability, focusing on bioconjugation, purification, and analytical characterisation of ADC for in vitro cytotoxicity and POC in vivo studies
• Lead project teams through discovery and preclinicalstages, coordinating efforts to meet key milestones and drive projects forward effectively.
• Oversee outsourced ADC process development, managing relationships to ensure successful GLP/GMP manufacturing and timely IND submissions.
Requirements
PhD with 3+ years of industry experience, or BSc/MSc with 4-6+ years of relevant industry experience.
• In-depth understanding of bioconjugation chemistries, including lysine, inter-chain cysteine, sitespecific cysteine, and others.
• Proven expertise in developing purification strategies using a variety of chromatographic techniques such as affinity, size exclusion, ion-exchange, hydrophobic interaction, and tangential flow filtration.
• Skilled in the analytical characterisation of ADCs, with experience in techniques like SEC-HPLC, RPHPLC, HIC-HPLC, LC-MS, CE-SDS, ELISA, DSC, and BLI/SPR.
• Comprehensive knowledge of all aspects of ADC design, production, and characterisation, along with direct experience in IND filing requirements for ADCs.
• Extensive expertise in key areas such as analytical characterisation, formulation, and the overall CMC scope of ADCs and biologics.
• Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to make data-driven decisions.
• Ability and desire to contribute in fast paced, goal-oriented environment.
• Highly adaptable, strong problem solver, with the ability to innovate and work collaboratively.
