Title: Trend Publication Content Strategy Lead
Trendhub is the digital trend publication and subscription platform of BDA London for the fashion and lifestyle industry. This role comes at an exciting time of innovation and growth within our business, and we are looking for a Creative Content Strategy Lead to take Trendhub into a new phase for our business and clients. The focus is on driving a fit for future product strategy that delivers commercial results.
Part of our management team you will creatively and strategically direct our trend publication offering ensuring a world class product that meets revenue and profit targets. Delivering world class products and content that both inspire and inform. Applying innovative thinking, forecast methodologies and selection criteria that meet the Trendhub brand identity. A true collaborator working with all key stakeholders across creative, sales and marketing to match creative vision for the product with our wider services and evolving industry needs. Motivated, flexible and agile in delivering on both strategic and commercial objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Accountable for the strategic direction, development and management of the Trendhub products. Delivering creative excellence and commercial results. Ensuring our trend publication offer is of industry standard, content is delivered on time and the department is achieving overall profitability targets.
· Working with key stakeholders to future proof and innovate the Trendhub offer creatively and commercially
· Develop and evolve the Trendhub products and services, ensuring we are agile and able to adapt to audience demands and feedback.
· Work with the wider business to ensure the publication strategy aligns to overall business growth.
· Working with BDA London bespoke teams, contributing to, and supporting open discussion and topline thinking. Driving a holistic process.
· Accountability for content strategy, creative delivery, customer experience and commercial success
· Ensuring all publications are delivered inline with brand and creative guidelines.
· Develop and evolve the Trendhub products and customer experience, ensuring we are agile and able to adapt to audience demands and feedback.
· Establishing a commercially valid offer for our audience while positioning the brand as an industry lead.
· People and culture management. Structuring, developing and managing an able and engaged team to deliver the best results.
· Working closely with the commercial team to enable results focused marketing and that our trend publications evolve in accordance to sales and customer needs
· Representing the business and speaking at events, seminars and webinars to represent Trendhub and the wider business
· Training and teaching creatives within the team to research and develop ideas in an appropriate, future facing way and ensure we are at the forefront of trend research.
Skills & Experience:
· Minimum 5 years experience within the trend forecasting and publication industry in a senior lead, or relevant, role.
· Expert in forecasting and futures field
· Experience in delivering commercial results withing trend publication field
· Experience in structuring and line managing teams
· Fully immersed in the fashion and lifestyle industry in terms on trend application and evolving methodologies
· Highly creative with an excellent eye for detail
· A true collaborator
· Adaptable, with experience working across multiple categories
· Clear communicator, able to effectively present ideas at all stages, from initial generation to complete works
· Presentation / public speaking skills
· Excellent written skills
· Highly organized and efficient, able to work across multiple live projects
· Able to travel internationally when required
We offer a hybrid work set-up, with our team able to work between our East London studio and home. All team office days ensure the full team are in together to allow in person meetings, creative sessions and strategic thinking in teams to happen.
