Job Title: Engagement Manager - Life Sciences.
Location: London, UK - Hybrid.
Business: Life Sciences Strategy / Transaction Boutique.
As an Engagement Manager; you will act as a critical internal Stakeholder, executing the firm's strategic initiatives - contributing to the success of the business.
You will support C-Suite Executives in Private Equity / Venture Capital, Investors, Health & Social Care, Pharma & Life Sciences.
FOCUS:
- Due Diligence: Commercial / Vendor.
- Strategic M&A and Post-Merger Integration.
- Transaction Advisory.
- Business Development Assessment, Forecasting & Valuations.
- Commercial; Product, Portfolio / Value Strategy.
- Organisational Strategy & Design.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Project Delivery / Execution: (50%)
- Lead and executes projects simultaneously, with oversight of quality excellence and project initiatives, setting project direction with resource allocation.
- Acts as a 'strategic advisor', to effectively identify, mitigate and resolve complex issues within projects and internal business functions; with the development of internal 'best practices' / methods.
Client Engagement / Account Development: (30%)
- In collaboration with Partners, develop and cultivate relationships with C-level Stakeholders and Client Executives.
- Develop and implement insightful, value-based strategy to mitigate client challenges.
- Acts as SME and scientific Thought Partner to clients and internal / external stakeholders, by creating eminence and spearheading industry-specific initiatives and trends (i.e., Payers, KOLβs, C-Suite industry SMEs).
Business Development: (20%)
- Contributes to Business Development in collaboration with Partners; identify, pursue, and support in the development of new business opportunities on existing clientsβ accounts; and the expansion of services with existing clients.
REQUIREMENTS
Academic Qualifications:
- Masters, MD / PhD in Life Sciences related subject, or a MBA.
Experience:
- 4-6+ years' professional experience from MBB, Management or Strategy Consulting Firm - with a dedicated focus in Healthcare and Life Sciences: (Pharmaceuticals).
- In-depth and extensive experience developing insightful, value-added strategies that address complex client issues, with a focus in; Due Diligence - (Commercial), M&A, Corporate, Portfolio & Growth Strategy.
Inter-Personal Characteristics:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to build and maintain relationships with C-level and Senior Stakeholders / Executives.
- Demonstrated success in People Management; coach, develop and mentor - responsible for career and professional development; ensuring continued acquisition of talent; cultivating a positive culture.
- Demonstrated analytical and critical-level thinking; (i.e., Intuition, Emotional Intelligence (EQ), and Ideation prowess).
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office; (Microsoft Word, PPT, and Outlook).
