Electrical Integration Design Engineer – Portsmouth HQ – up to £40k + Benefits
An opportunity for either a talented Apprentice that’s come to the end of their Apprenticeship and is looking for a new challenge or a service leaver operating at either Leading Hand or Petty Officer working as a Weapons Engineer or Electrical Engineer has arisen to work for a global Defence client with HQ’s based around the U.K. The successful candidate will ideally be leaving the service within 1-4 months (Latest leave date January 2025).
What are we looking for in the successful candidate?
- Electrical Systems knowledge
- Able to interpret and apply Electrical Design standards
- HNC in Electrical Engineering/Systems Engineer education minimum
- Any experience with Foran, AutoCAD and/or Electrical System integration would be a bonus
Key responsibilities
- Produce Integration design solutions
- Liase with end customers and other partners through the design process
- Take part in ship surveys as/when required
- Configure and maintain ship databases for electrical power distribution
Due to the nature of the project, the successful candidate must be a sole British national and be eligible for security clearance and be willing/able to be based onsite in Portsmouth fulltime for an induction period and then will move to hybrid remote after this period.
