The Role
The IT support and cloud engineer is responsible for the day-to-day operations and support for our European Employees and Corporate Office – as well as work with our corporate global IT operations. The role is a mix of Help Desk Technician, Microsoft 365 engineer and will also help support our azure environment. This role is responsible for daily operational tasks related to service helpdesk tickets, the Joiner/Mover/Leaver process, End User Device management, Management and develop the Microsoft 365 and Azure environments. The position requires participation in an on-call rotation and occasional after-hours support. Employees are welcome to work remote in this role but will be required to report on-site in our London office 2-3 times per week.
What you’ll do
- Provide support for employee devices (laptops, phones etc) and applications
- Troubleshoot operational issues rapidly and analyse and resolve underlying issues to restore systems and maintain continuity of business
- Work independently with minimal supervision progressing issues and other tasks
- Perform detail-oriented work accurately with frequent interruptions
- Manage accurate inventory of user devices and applications/licenses
- Participation in an on-call rotation
- Vulnerability management (patching, configurations, incident response)
- Educate colleagues on procedures, policies and best practices related to using EML systems
- Support and maintenance of the Zero Trust Network configuration
- Microsoft 365 support and administration
- Creating and maintaining documentation related to M365 services, policies, procedures, and system configuration
- Manage and maintain M365 documentation security policies and compliance requirements
- Monitor, Manage and maintain M365 performance and disaster recovery solutions
- Improve and develop the businesses use of M365
- Microsoft Azure support and administration including EntraID, IaaS and PaaS solutions
- Cloud application management
- Support of phone system and contact centre solutions
- Participation in 3rd party vender management
- Successful timely delivery of projects
- Manage/monitor servers (OS and applications) within the Corporate Systems environment (on-prem and Azure)
What you’ll bring
- Self-motivated with the ability to work well in small teams
- Excellent trouble shooting abilities
- Extensive technical support experience of end user software and devices (laptops, phones, etc)
- Experience with Microsoft 365 administration and implementation.
- Experience with managing EntraID and Azure Environments.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory environments (on-prem and EntraID)
- Good understanding of networking and security principles, including firewalls, VPNs, and network protocols
Desirable knowledge, skills and abilities
- Self-motivated with the ability to work well in small teams
