Salary: £35,000 Basic + Very High Commission Structure On All New Launches

Job Overview:
As our business continues to expand, we’re seeking a Retail Business Development Manager who will focus on developing new business opportunities and growing our presence within retail. This role is ideal for someone with experience in retail, particularly in the healthcare and wellness sectors, and who has a passion for building successful relationships with retail buyers. The successful candidate will be responsible for retailer outreach, developing compelling sales pitches and proposals, and personalising strategies to fit specific retailers and their customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Proactively identify, target, and secure new retail opportunities to grow our business.
- Develop and tailor sales pitches, product submissions, and presentations for retailers, ensuring they are personalised for each buyer and retailer’s customer base.
- Present detailed category management rationales to retail buyers, highlighting the alignment of the brand’s product with the retailer’s needs and category performance.
- Work closely with internal teams to dissect category management overview documents and data to build compelling, data-driven proposals.
- Manage ongoing relationships with retail buyers and ensure continuous communication to drive business development.
- Collaborate with National Account Managers to align sales strategies with broader company objectives.
- Track sales performance and ensure new product launches are successfully executed within retailers.
- Drive retailer negotiations from pitch through to contract stage, ensuring all details are managed effectively.
- Constantly monitor retail trends in the healthcare and wellness market to identify new business opportunities.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in business development or account management, ideally within retail, healthcare, or wellness industries.
- Demonstrated success in launching products into major retailers and negotiating with retail buyers.
- Strong commercial acumen with an ability to dissect category data and align it with business development strategies.
- Tenacious and driven, with a passion for winning new business and achieving growth targets.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence and build relationships with key retail decision-makers.
- Experience in personalising sales pitches and submissions for different retailers, ensuring they are tailored to specific market needs.
- Solid understanding of the retail landscape and a passion for the wellness and healthcare markets.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and project management tools.
Hours: Full time
Location: Nottingham, United Kingdom / flexible working with WFM + 1-2 office days per week.
