Hunter Savage are delighted to be supporting a large, well established NI employer, headquartered in Belfast City centre, to recruit an experienced People Partner for a 9 month Fixed Term Contract contract, for their high performing HR Operations Team.
This is a new, FTC People/HR Partner job offering an immediate start and a contract duration of a minimum of 9 months (until March/April 2025). The role offers full time hours (37 hours per week) and an attractive salary.
The successful People Partner will enjoy working as part of a very busy team, providing HR advice and support to the operational stakeholders, ensuring effective people solutions are developed and implemented.
A minimum of 2 years HR experience with solid employee relations and Trade Union exposure is essential and the close date for the role is Tuesday 24th September at 11 am.
The Role
- Provide innovative HR thinking and solutions to assist divisions best manage HR
- Assist in the delivery of projects
- Support the development of a performance management culture by coaching managers in the implementation of the performance management process
- Support managers with investigations and coach and support managers in people related issues including disciplinary and grievance cases, dignity at work etc
- Provide professional advice and guidance to Managers on legislation, policies and procedures to ensure best practice employee relations
- Assist an support in the management of short and long term absence
- Support managers with recruitment
- Prepare regular and ad hoc management information reports and support continuous improvement in the management and monitoring of sickness absence, performance management and HR KPIs
The Person
Essential
- Minimum of HNC/HND or equivalent in a business related or HR discipline
AND
- Minimum of 2 years experience in a HR role which includes handling employee relations within a unionised environment
- Sound understanding of employment legislation
- Effective communication, influencing and negotiation skills
- Experience of organisational change and culture
- Experience of managing and delivering HR projects
- Willing to travel across all locations within Northern Ireland
