Job Description
As a Cleaning Frontline Manager, you will ensure our friendly team of domestic staff deliver a full and comprehensive cleaning service at the Royal Orthopaedic Hospital in both clinical and non-clinical areas.
With responsibility for the day to day supervision of the team – you will provide direction, guidance and support to maintain cleanliness and hygiene within the hospital.

Responsibilities
- To Supervise and lead a team in providing a responsive and high-quality domestic service to meet the needs of the contract SLA’s and KPI’s
- Complete accurate records for company systems including, sickness procedures, quality monitoring, training and staff performance monitoring
- Liaise with operative staff under your control by way of discussions and regular team meetings. i.e. Performance Reviews, Job Chats, Return to Work discussions and accident and other investigations
- Organise and allocate staff under your control to carry out the cleaning and maintenance of all hygiene standards within a designated area. Ensure that the work schedule and quality standards are adhered to in line with the specification
- Order, control, monitor and issue relevant uniform, equipment, keys, materials and other goods as required by the staff under your control to carry out their duties effectively
- Manage the safe storage and maintenance of appropriate stock and supplies and to ensure that these are available as required within the designated area
About You
- Previous supervisory experience gained in a similar role (i.e. Cleaning Supervisor or Manager),
- Previous Cleaning experience
- Experience of managing sickness absence, conducting staff appraisals, preparing rotas and performance management
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Able to work under pressure
- Happy to work shifts
- As the hospital is open 7 days per week, the successful candidate may also be expected to work occasional weekends. Therefore, flexibility will be required.
